Subject: Feedback From Frustrated Network Marketing Distributors Re Company DENIAL Re Codex Threat

IAHF List:
Recently I sent an alert out calling for assistance from network marketing distributors to urge their up and downlines to make badly needed donations to the Alliance for Natural Health's lawsuit to overturn the EU Food Supplement Directive.
I myself redoubled my own efforts to reach out to several MLM companies, because we need to come up with $20,000. for the lawsuit which will be heard on January 20th in the High Court of Justice, in London, UK
Here is what is happening:
Top level distributors are, for the most part, in total DENIAL that the EU Food Supplement Directive poses ANY THREAT to their business.
They're NOT taking the time to examine the threat, they're just IGNORING it and PRETENDING its does not exist (!!!)
Theyr'e not grasping that countries outside the EU will be impacted by what is happening inside the EU unless we take action to stop it due to how events in the EU on this issue stand to impact things at the UN's Codex Alimentarius Commission. They're not grasping that the FDA has set the USA up to lose in a future WTO Trade Dispute on this issue, or that an oversight hearing that I pushed for for 5 years was whitewashed so that we've been SET UP. They're not grasping that we have no CHOICE but to work with our international allies.... but I also can't help but wonder what happened to their compassion? Don't they CARE about the health of people in the EU? Don't they CARE about their business in the EU?
Apparently NOT, and I'm really growing disgusted.
The prevalent attitude runs something like this:
Even if it IS a genuine threat, (and I ASSURE you it IS), they seem to be fearful of disseminating any "bad news" which "could scare away potential new distributors" and which could "scare away investors" thus hurting their stock price.
This mentality is INCREDIBLY STUPID! These people are going to be driven out of business if they don't take action, but their group culture seems to block them from lifting a FINGER. Every top distributor of every network marketing vitamin company in the WORLD should be concerned about this, and should be STRONGLY SUGGESTING to their downlines that everyone make a contribution to ANH, and they should be leading by example, but its not happening.
Several lower level distributors who are on the ANH list and who readily SEE the need for action have called me to express serious FRUSTRATION about how their efforts to call this to the attention of their upline and to company officials has met with nothing but DENIAL.
They've asked me what they should DO. One woman told me she wanted to post my recent article about this to a forum of distributors from her company but feared that if she did, she would be shunned or kicked off the discussion list. I told her she ought to post it annonymously by getting a hotmail account for that purpose, and then once its posted she could try to discuss it with people since everyone would have seen it.
I offered to do a conference call with any group of MLMers. So far, no takers. I hope that changes...... Anyone out there listening?
My response to MLMers expressing frustration at their up lines not listening is that they should immediately send a donation to ANH THEMSELVES, and then urge anyone who WILL listen to follow their lead, and I've urged them to REDOUBLE their efforts to reach out to the top distributors and to company officials.
A big problem these companies face (aside from some belonging to CRN which as discussed previously is badly misleading their vitamin company membership on behalf of their drug company membership into believing that Codex poses "no threat" and that we've won a "victory" at Codex) is that many belong to the DSA (Direct Selling Association.)
The DSA has a group of attorneys in Washington DC who have never understood international issues, or shown any interest in learning about them. My experience with DSA has been that they tend to be lazy people who pretty much just take their lead on these matters from the pharma dominated vitamin trade associations such as CRN and NNFA, without doing any homework themselves to try to understand what is going on, so we have a situation where the blind are leading the blind...... right to the CLIFF.
Yes, its frustrating, and depressing, but life has NEVER been easy.
In the face of this adversity, we just have to fight on the best we can.
To quote Winston Churchill- we must Never ever ever EVER EVER EVER EVER GIVE UP!!!
ANH is going to be in court on January 30th, and they need and deserve the support of everyone on the IAHF list and anyone you forward this too. Their battle is every vitamin consumers battle, regardless of where in the world you live.
If you don't think you can afford to donate even $25. to ANH, you must not value your access to dietary suppelments very much. PLEASE- donate $100., donate $500, donate $1000. or more if you possibly can because this one is for ALL THE MARBLES.
Donations can be made via the ANH secure server at http://www.alliance-natural-health.org or by international money order to the
